At Doggie Stylez Grooming, your dog’s comfort, safety, and wellbeing always come first. To maintain the highest standards for every client and every dog, the following policies are in place.

Appointments & Cancellations

Appointment slots are limited and reserved exclusively for your dog.
 

• ⁠A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required for cancellations or rescheduling

• Appointments cancelled within 48 hours will incur a 50% cancellation fee

• Missed appointments/no-shows will incur 100% of the groom cost

• Future bookings may require payment upfront where policies are repeatedly not respected

Arrival Policy

Please arrive on time for your appointment.
 

• Arrivals over 15 minutes late may need to be shortened, rescheduled, or refused

• Full charges may still apply where appointment time has been lost

Health & Behaviour

For your dog’s safety, all medical conditions, injuries, allergies, or behavioural concerns must be disclosed before the appointment.

Doggie Stylez Grooming reserves the right to stop or refuse a groom where a dog becomes unsafe, overly distressed, or aggressive. Additional handling charges may apply where extra time or support is required.

Matted Coat Policy

Your dog’s welfare will always take priority over style.
 

• Severely matted coats will be clipped short where necessary

• ⁠De-matting will not be carried out where it causes pain or distress

• ⁠Tight matting can cause hidden skin irritation, bruising, or sensitivity once removed

• Minor nicks, irritation, or redness can occasionally occur due to the condition of the coat

• Desired styles may not always be achievable depending on coat condition

Maintaining a regular grooming schedule helps keep your dog comfortable and allows for better styling results.

Pricing

Pricing is based on:
 

• Breed & size

• ⁠Coat condition

• ⁠Behaviour & handling requirements

• Time required for the groom

Additional charges may apply for severely matted, difficult, or extra long appointments.

Teeth Cleaning

Ultrasonic teeth cleaning is a cosmetic and preventative treatment only and is not a replacement for veterinary dental care. Results vary depending on the condition of the teeth.

Emergencies

In the unlikely event of an emergency, veterinary treatment will be sought immediately. Any veterinary costs may become the responsibility of the owner unless caused by proven negligence.

Photography & Social Media

Photos and videos may occasionally be taken for marketing and social media purposes. If you would prefer your dog not to be featured, simply let us know.

Payments

Payment is due upon collection unless agreed otherwise. Deposits may be required for selected appointments or repeat late cancellations.

Right to Refuse Service

Doggie Stylez Grooming reserves the right to refuse or stop services where:
 

• A dog poses a safety risk

• Policies are repeatedly not respected

• Behaviour from clients becomes abusive or inappropriate
